While the machine is running, a bag can sometimes get stuck in the sewing area. This can cause damage, especially if the needle keeps hitting the blockage while thread is still being fed. If this continues, it may lead to more serious mechanical problems.
Sometimes the product being filled into the bag sticks out in the spot where the stitch is made — between the presser foot and the throat plate. This can block the needle or thread path and cause the machine to jam.
These kinds of issues can bend or slightly damage parts like the needle or looper. Even if the damage is too small to see, it can cause the machine to skip stitches or stop stitching completely.
If your machine doesn’t have a thread break sensor like the ELTEX 16370, it’s very important to stop the machine immediately when something goes wrong. Letting it run can make the problem worse and damage the machine further.
